Dotz The Life And Times Of John Rockwell Review

Dotz The Life And Times Of John Rockwell Review
Date: 05/12/15

Dotz is without a doubt one of the hardest emcees in the game, especially when you look at this year alone! Such as Funkin' Hell with Peterz, to numerous features with heads like Baileys Brown for Bath Full Of Phlegm to The Dotz & Flo collab with Verb T for Ice Can Melt! Before the year is over Dotz is making yet another mark on the scene with his latest release titled The Life And Times Of John Rockwell EP featuring a total of 6 tracks produced by the living legend Richy Spitz! We're of course going to be featuring this in full length, let's see wagwarn!

The first track from the EP is titled Lights Out and features a little skit as you're led into an instant head nodder from Richy Spitz, as the beat drops and thumps, Dotz engulfs it with his signature sound knocking heads out left, right and center. Beat Me Down brings a greasy, war to your door vibe! As soon as you hear this you'll know Dotz is going to come with the relevance! Dropping metaphors gunning for heads taking cheap shots at him all over the thumping war production by Richy! Check out the official video below from LimeLight TV!

Dotz | Beat Me Down Prod By Richy Spitz

Be Honest showcases Richy Spitz bringing another flawless beat for Dotz to ride and get reflective on. Throughout the track you'll hear Dotz make a stand for himself and his movements whatever they are in life, for all them wasters out their who hold themselves to the highest order, we're just doing what we know, fuck your raggo egos. Scarecrow builds with an awesome skit as the retro / circus beat ensues until dimming down for the final show. This track is going to bring them weekend vibes to your speakers no matter the day, bill up, turn up and let them hours slip by Forgetful is the second to last track on the The Life And Times Of John Rockwell EP and it's bringing more relevance to your ear piece! Dotz is going to showcase yet again how easy this wordplay shit comes to him, rapping circles around the subject matter of forgetting bare memories and things we did moments ago! Many of us will relate to this, if we don't forget how forgetful we are, fuck am I talking about?

To end this barbaric EP off we have Bleak Old Track with is a stellar track to wrap it up, embark as Dotz showcases his penmanship with unbelievable flows as he bobs and weaves around the beat, speaking on past addictions and issues with opiates and other substances! Absolutely flawless, this has my head bobbin in next dimensions and is yet another testament as to why Dotz is smashing the scene with his content, delivery, presence and originality on the Mic! The project drops tomorrow and can be pre-ordered from his official bandcamp page below, we highly recommend adding this to your collection! Cop it at £5 for digital and £7 for physical via Phoenix Recordings!
