Lee Scott And Dirty Dike Butter Fly Album Review

We've already seen a handful of albums so far this year from the powerhouse High Focus label, however their next installment dropping later this month features the Blah records president Lee Scott alongside Dirty Dike who's producing the entire release. The album if you didn't already know is titled Butter Fly and features a total of 12 tracks, featuring Lee solo of the rhymes with zero features, Dirty Dike's production and Sammy B-Side on the cuts! Butterfly is set to drop on the 27th of April and can be pre-ordered below! So let's delve right into the review!

Opening up the release is the self titled track Butter Fly featuring a short skit from John Caparulo which soon blends into a Lee Scott with a high pitched voice as he introduces you to the high dosage of swag you're about to receive. You can expect a beat that resonates your ear drums and ultra slick flows and effortless rhyming that connects flawlessly! Peep the official video below.

Next up is Don't Make Me which also comes with an official video and this ones a little different. Lee Scott laces his illusive delivery over the cosmic head nodding production from Dirty Dike as they ride the cosmos in a cadillac while space titties bounce all over the place! You're probably already watching the video by now, but if not then hit play below!

Money Grip is another flawless example of why Lee Scott is such a highly regarded emcee on all ocean fronts, bobbing and weaving with witty pengame, encapsulating flows and dropping gems of knowledge left, right and center over the jazz infused production from Dikestar! Skipping the hypnotic Walking The Walk (go cop it to find out more!) we land on Manatee Rap, an intergalactic trip through space and time with the mesmerizing beat from Dirty Dike! I do drugs that numb me skull, tummy full to the point it's uncomfortable. The sixth track on Butter Fly is titled Spaced, in which you can vibe with Lee as he spits writtens on what keeps him afloat in this derelict world.

Watch TV is definitely in our top 3 tracks from Butter Fly with hypnotic jazz infused production by the Dikestar, Lee Scott tackles the beat with a bombardment of bars dissecting the populations zombie like characteristics. From watching people watching the TV show, being told what to buy thanks to inane marketing to the women walking around with plastic modifications all over their bodies. Eight O Clock In The Morning eases you in with greasy and unnerving production, at a minute in Lee begins to engulf the beat with hard hitting rhymes breaking down the piss poor society we live in, thus we pray to make it past 8' clock in the morning. Sell Drugs is probably a self explanatory track name, one which doesn't need delving into in much depth, so embark on that classic cult swag as Lee Scott explains what he wants to do!

Everything Is Money welcomes you with open arms as the beat builds with an intro of chimes, Lee Scott begins to lace it with slick consistent bars that rhyme beyond all recognition! As you can tell by the track name the subject matter is money originated however it goes above and beyond touching on plenty of subjects. Dont Tell Me is the second to last track off Butter Fly and also comes with an official video which dropped only a few days go, easily one of the top tracks from the release for us. Kick back and cotch as Lee laces one of the illest beats I've heard this year with lucid flows, food for thought and presence unmatched by anyone else. Check out the official video for Dont Tell Me below!

Last track on the album is titled Butter Tits and features a tranquil beat with vocals through out that ooze that classic blah sweg! A perfect closing track to the album, allowing your brain a brief moments rest, preparing you for your second listen. We hope you've enjoyed our breakdown of the new Lee Scott & Dirty Dike album Butter Fly, we can guarantee that you'll enjoy the album an octillion times more so ensure you have pre-ordered it!
