Bones Get Some Bones EP Review
Bones makes up 1/4 of the GV Clik and reps the Greasy Vinyl Label lacing rhymes with one of the most homegrown and organic sounds in the country. He's been busy working on a new EP titled 'Get Some Bones' featuring a total of six tracks, the EP dropped late July and for some reason unknown to man - it's available for free download! Money Machine kicks off with some retro production by the one and only Mad Skillz and Bonez hit's it head on with rhymes about the concrete jungles and struggling through lifes trials and tribulations, 2 minutes in the beat switches on some greasy vibes, banger. Next up is The Truth which has been produced by Mad Skillz, featuring progressive vibes in which Bones approaches with uplifting lyrics of progression, always hunting for truth and simply trying to make moves positive movements. Since day one of hearing this, it's been on my phone and will probably remain there for many months to come, check out the official video below, blaow!
Snakes And Ladders (Produced by DJ Buzzword) beat is chilled in all sense of the word, relaxing the listener before Bones lays down rhymes about the modern day fuckery of snakes and nay sayers trying to hold him back, however members of the GV Clik don't ride that wave and continue the movement. Nuff A Dem (Produced By Wizard) features Corey British on the hook alongside Bones spitting on a raw and rugged beat, lighting it up with an array of rhymes from the mind of Bonez. Steel Doors (Produced by Mad Skillz) is a fine example of Bones spraying his potent flow over the riddems, pound for pound rhymes about living grimey and focusing on the grind ahead, a banger for certain. Ya Know (Produced By Wizard) is the last track on the album and features Bones going in on a self reflective tip, reminiscing on his younger days and past mistakes while painting pictures with his pen game.
