Back rummaging through the UndergroundHH inbox is a joyful task, especially when we come across one of our favorite UK duos. Certain talent manages to walk in the shoes of giants with ease, and these guys can boast that prowess. First there was Eric B and Rakim, then came Guru and Premier, Blade and Mark B, Rodney P and Skitz, and now in the mid teens of the century we have... Adam and Cuth. The pair have repeatedly made marks on both the underground community, and the wider UK scene, and they're now back in full force with their second full length album. The release comes with some exciting feature artists, some eye pleasing artwork and this time, is pressed lovingly to wax.

Both eager to get our ears on the music, we've decided to keep the peace and take the review in parts, so from Leon and Invokal comes:

The Adam And Cuth Formwork Review

The intro, and preceding track fill the speakers like an old friend filling your arms after a long time apart. With Adam's unmistakable swagger and Cuth's classic dusty vinyl sound, the two have perfected the sound they set about to define in their earlier outings. Lyrics with bags of UK attitude and a healthy swig of wit, the beginning tracks flow by with an effortless strut. The songs here are short and punchy, and that stops the album from slowing in pace even when taking us on softer outings like track 3 Wasted Time. Adam adapts to the melodies well, and enjoys nothing more than telling a story, like a fire-side sage of old. - Invokal

Having A Party brings infectious production from Cuth to the forefront, creating a solid platform for Adam The Rapper to bombard with head nodding rhymes on a party tip! Night And Day brings a different vibe which showcases Adam and Cuth's chemistry when mixing their skill sets. Cuth sets the mood with a daunting yet inviting violin infused beat as Adam gracefully glides across it with flawless presence, encapsulating story telling and an abundance of metaphors that draw you further in as each bar is laced. - Leon

Track 8 is one to please the fans of hard hop. A 'fuck you' to fake wannabe MCs and uneducated rappers who don't give the culture the respect it demands and deserves. Adam hits the gravel and digs deep, tearing MCs by the scruff of their unschooled collars across the hip hop stage, gritty and bloody for all to see. The epitome of attitude and a banging beat to boot.

Onto one of the feature tunes and mic duties shared with one of the best lyricists on these fair shores. In Out Here Dizraeli and Adam flow and weave between eachother and trade off syllables with a flare other aspiring writers could look up to. Lyrically they juggle like they belong in Cirque Du Soleil, but they've more thrill rides and twisted tracks between them than a Circus of Horrors, and this is no exception.

Track 10 is one of those great tracks that gets you on side then takes you on a rant through UK life. From how to make a proper cup of tea and the politics of breast feeding in public, to brain wiping television and carbon copy high streets. This should soon become a UK classic. - Invokal

Fade Away opens up with a short skit featuring Adam and Cuth at home brewing up a masterpiece until the beat drops in its final form and jheeeeze! Cuth is one of the most slept on producers we have on our shores and alongside Adams effortless penmanship their chemistry dispels any doubters. You'll also hear a few features with the likes of Frankie Stew and Vecks joining Adam over another potent cuth beat. This track evokes a rush of endorphin's as each emcee puts their paper to pen and outputs reflective subject matter! One of those tracks that help you unwind after a hectic slave shift, bun a warhead and cotch. Short skits like Telescope Interlude oozes eerie flutes and sounds of nature as Adam becomes one with it and showcases another style of his music, If you don't know by now - he's incredibly versatile - That's all I'll say for this one.. (Pre-order the album!). As we near the end of the album we see Adam delve into numerous problems within our everyday walks of life as he raps circles around them. To end the album we're hit with a slap of dopamine to the frontal lobe as uplifting vibes ooze into our eardrums! While many in hop hop focus on the negatives of life within their music, it's a blend that these two handle with no problems! It's almost become fashionable within the scene to stay screw facing, so come, man up and Happy Up!! - Leon

Both glowing with UK hip hop vibes, we are left fighting round UHHHQ to get our hands on the UndergroundHH stamp of approval. This release is proud to represent what the UK is capable of in 2015, and we should be proud of it doing so. Beats to dig a lifetime of crates for, and lyrics to rival the best we have to offer. Go grab it.
