Nephilim Partly Fledged Mixtape Review

Today we've got another full length review of a release we've been anticipating for a while, it comes in Mixtape form and is titled Partly Fledged featuring 18 tracks by rapper Nephilm, presented to you by UK Runnings! We've been seeing the odd track here and there from Nephilm and earlier this year we saw his official video for The Love of Rhyming and since then, we've been silently awaiting for Partly Fledged to drop! Let's check out what Nephilms bringing to the table.

The Intro is a short 17 seconds with DJ Tricksta simply opening the mixtape and introducing Nephilm, preparing you for what’s to come. The first full length track is Tired with a tranquil beat by A95 and a rhyme style from Nephilm that compliments flawlessly! Embark on a hazy journey as he breaks down how tiring the grind can be but still remaining upbeat due to the amount of positivity that surrounds him, incredibly humbling opening to the mixtape! Being Me has been produced by Agent Of Orange and instantly lifts the mood with the funky vibes the beat oozes, Nephilm showcases another side to his flow and pengame as he decribes what makes who he is!

Skipping My Medals and No Sellout (Scroll down to get the Mixtape for FREE) we land on track 6 which is titled Thought Process Part 2 featuring the heavyweight Dotz. Nephilm opens up with the first verse delivering an onslaught of rhymes, gunnin for those who think they have you worked out, but miss the mark entirely! Dotz comes in with the second verse continuing the subject matter and supplying a killer guest verse, Nephilm soon comes in to wrap up the third verse, cementing this as one of our stand out tracks from the mixtape. Another track that hits home for us is Are We Living which features a self-reflective beat by Billy Whizz, creating a strong platform for Nephilm to tackle one of the most pondered questions, what is our purpose and is our current life style really LIVING? The Love of Rhyming is the track we mentioned earlier which opened our eyes and ears to what Nephilims bringing! Bunker Beat brings infectious production for Neppy to engulf with penmanship touching on his love for the artform! Peep the official video below.

The 9th track is titled Still Happy and as you can tell from the name it's going to be a summer banger! The beat by Dialectics Of Nature and Nephilims flow intertwined together has created an infectious masterpiece as they reflect on the past and look to the future, you can even catch Nephilim on the hook singing! Skipping Voices we arrive on the 11th track Chances! Featuring a jazz infested production from Billy Whizz and more upbeat rhymes from Neppy, lacing the beat with rhymes to urge you to keep trudging on through the set backs. Loves Real Name is one of those tracks that's going to get you vibing and remembering the smaller things in life rather than lusting over coin. Expect an array of heartfelt bars dedicated to his daughter and the lady in his life, not only rapping he even goes all out on the chorus and pulls it off flawlessly, adding even more depth to this track!

Skipping Scatterbrain (available further down!) we discover Drifting which has been produced by MPC Boyz to bring a beat that forces involuntary head nodding and that it does. Alongside Nephilm we also have a personally favourite of mine, Mr Melta jumping on the track to supply his signature flow! Together with the MPC Boyz they have a crafted a certified banger. Skipping Senorita we hit the second to last track from Partly Fledged titled Journal produced by Beat Fairey! Expect to be carried down a lucid stream as Nephilim paints vivid pictures with his calculated, calm and laid back flow. Last track is titled Till The End produced by Billy Whizz and is a solid ending to the mixtape with Neppy breaking down everything he's striving for, constantly battling with his own feelings.

That brings our review of Nephilims mixtape Partly Fledged to an end, we hope you've throughly enjoyed our writings and more importantly the music! Nephilim may be a new name to many of us however it's undeniably that he's got potential, coming with a variety of flows and subject matters delivered to your dome peice by a humble hip hop head! It's absolutely p Make sure you get yourself a copy of Partly Fledged below and stay tuned for more coming from Neppy and the UK Runnings collective!
