It's a new year, which means undoubtedly another extremely strong year where homegrown hip hop is concerned! Kicking off the year in full force is High Focus and their latest signee Onoe Caponoe, having been working hard on his debut album Voices From Planet Catelle produced by Chemo we're glad to say it's almost release time! Featuring a total of 11 tracks and officially dropping on the 28th of January! Let's catapult ourselves straight into review mode to let you know what's in-store!

Opening up with the 30 second intro titled Cattele Intro you're invited in by an unknown entity into the happenings of Planet Cattele. Soon after the intro blends into the debut single for the album, Space Bitches which I'm hoping has already graced your ears, if not then prepare yourself for the first time delving into the psychedelic and transcendent mind of Onoe Caponoe, bobbing and weaving with next level delivery and elevated pengame over a cosmic trip produced by Chemo! Peep the official video below!

Onoe Caponoe | Space Bitches

Lord Of The Light eases you in temporarily with small bursts of bars as Onoe Caponoe lets his inner being leak accross the mysterious & eerie yet uplifting production supplied by Chemo, illuminating the night sky with compact, conscious and pineal piercing rhymes as Onoe obsorbs the most important sources of energy, the sun! Moon Galactico really showcases how exceptional Chemo is as a producer, featuring only snippets of lyrics from Onoe Caponoe lacing the alluring beat, intertwining to create a laid back, hypnotic and mood defying track that further adds to the creativity and general feel of the entire album. Disappearing Jakob is for all the herbalists out there searching for a draw, Oneo rides the beat with weed induced bars, scraping together shrapnel to begin the hassle enduring trip for a breif moment of relief! The skit at the end, wraps it all up in Oneo's unique way!

Space Jungles Of Cattele is the sixth track from Voices From Planet Catelle, absolutely drenched in slow/lazy delivery conjoined with mind twisting pengame and greasy wordplay, carefully laced over another deceptive yet encapsulating beat by Chemo. Goth Bitches contains the only feature on the release with Jehst opening up the 1st verse, blessing the production with his immaculate pengame/flow! Onoe then shuts shit down completely with his second verse, displaying nothing but versatility with his content, flow, delivery and undeniably dope presence! Half way through the track takes a swift redirection, blending into another beat that soothes your soul as Oneo layers it with... well you'll see. One of many flawless examples of why Onoe Caponoe is in a league of his own.

Hopefully so far you should be extremely intrigued by the album, but let's put it on hold for a few minutes. Earlier this week High Focus dropped a brand new HFTV exclusive bars session, featuring Onoe Caponoe in another dimension far far away. Titled Jellyfish Gurl Bars you can quickly align yourself with the potent authentic rhymes that Onoe's kicking out, check out the official video below and keep scrolling for the last 4 tracks from Voices From Planet Catelle.

Right, getting back into review mode we land on track 9 titled Peace To Tha Godz, certainly a stand our track for us and a top favorite! Listen as Onoe Caponoe brings you deeper into his world, analyzing the shambolic earthlings which lust after social status, big paychecks and materialistic objects, ultimately dragged into a whirlwind of insecurities! While Onoe simply wants to detach himself from that world and exist in the moment, creating and interacting with art and nature. The next two tracks are titled Horse In The Hill and Under The Bridge, we're not going to touch on these two tracks as you need to cop the album and experience them yourself!

Finding ourselves on the last track titled Paint Your Body Gold we're overcome with laid back, reflective production, leaking copious amounts of tranquility and oneness into your DNA structure. Onoe Caponoe lays down a flow as godly as the beat, backed up with bars worshiping the womanly figure with a twisted perspective, sort of. Through out the entire release you'll hear some of the most compelling production ever heard by Chemo which does nothing but compliments Onoe's style and catapults his debut far into space, creating a timeless release with unlimited replay value - it's completely unique in every sense of the word.

We hope you've enjoyed our full length review of Onoe Caponoe's debut album Voices From Planet Catelle from the powerhouse label High Focus! If you haven't already placed yourself a pre-order for either the Vinyl (13.99) or CD(8.99), don't sleep on it or ponder the decision too long! It's an absolute banger and needs to be in your collection! Head over to High Focus below by clicking the album artwork!
