RhymePadRecords are a Cambridge based label with a collection of ill emcees and producers, the two we're focusing on today are emcee Mr Melta and Producer Remulak who put out a 6 track EP earlier in the year titled "Snap Out Of It" - having heard plenty of their previous stuff we're jumping straight into another full length review!

The first track on the EP is titled Brain Traffic and opens up with Mr Melta laying down self reflective subject matter in which he describes the whirlwind of thoughts he has, from regrets to plotting future paths! Jabbathakut also lays down a verse continuing the subject matter and adding his own flavor, a solid opening for the EP.

Day Off has a beat that oozes laid back vibes and Mr Melta's subject matter compliments it with ease as he lays down rhymes of his typical day off from the 9-5, put your feet up, bill up a zoot and kick back to lucid rhymes as Mr Melta rides the beat with ease. Spark up that zoot you've just rolled and check out the official video below!

Mr Melta | Day Off

Troubling Times really showcases Remulak's producing abilities and also Mr Melta's versatility with the flows, subject matter, penmanship and presence on a track! Laying down thought provocative rhymes reflecting on the current state of society and drug addictions to contain the rage, it's one of our favorites from the EP! Have a listen below.

Focus keeps the uplifting but reflective vibes of the EP flowing as Mr Melta engulfs the beat with rhymes focusing on whats important in life, not allowing petty arguments/beef to take the steering wheel and bring you down, another solid track! Snap Out Of It is the self titled track featuring Stakka Lyric bombarding the beat with hard hitting lines, focusing on the trends social conditioning spreads around our society with little effort, brand whores, consumerism, this track covers it all!

Do My Thing is the sixth and final track from the Snap Out Of It EP and it wraps the entire EP up flawlessly, bringing funky production and a clear intent of pushing yourself forward, going through the many scenarios of doing YOU however that's hard when people let you down and a 9-5 steals your motivation, but it's all about pushing on.

You can grab yourself a copy of the Snap Out Of It EP from Mr Melta & Remulak from the Rhyme Pad Records bandcamp page for below a small fee of £3 while supporting a dope label and some concrete spitters! Treat yourself today.
