Planet Of The Fakes Kill A Man Twice and Ignite The Mic 7 Inch Review

Planet Of The Fakes Kill A Man Twice and Ignite The Mic 7 Inch Review

Hailing from the East coast, there is a UK hip hop crew that live and breathe the anti-pop cause. A crew that work with an ethos of proper punk attitude, and a DIY sentiment that makes them the epitome of what has now days become an over-used term - 'underground'. Together with the brilliant britcore championing label - 'Britcore Rawmance', the Planet Of The Fakes have just dropped their brand new 7 inch, and it's a musical malevolent monster!

This is the third part in the 7 Deadly Sins series. Formed to showcase unsigned and underground artists in a vinyl format, the series has a passion to bring brilliant artists to wax who would otherwise be chained to digital sales. The release itself is a hail back to the days of early UK hip hop rage, and incredible pioneering acts such as Gunshot, Hijack and Katch 22. A fierce and furious form of hip hop that more than matches the heavyness of the likes of metal bands pumping gritty guitar riffs out of the speakers, and with all the energy of a packed to the rafters punk gig.

The crew consists of a variety of members. The production skills of Dusty Showbiz, a.k.a Inzaine Emcee, who also takes one third of the mic duties. Sharing them with Sinista, and Mr. Morph, all three have unique voices and are proud to use their UK dialects to their full potential. Lyrically they fit more syllables into a single line than 3 Busta Rhymes, 1 Gif Of Gab and a Mac Lethal combined! And the content, in typical britcore fashion, seems to have a fire in its belly that no one alive today could fathom how to extinguish. The duo of tracks feature two of the scene's greatest cut masters, Kill A Man Twice starring DJ Tones, and Ignite The Mic brings in DJ Highfly. Together with the MCs, all artists bring their energy to the table, and the result is a wet dream for the fans of harder music.

For all the wax heads, like previous outings in this series, this release is printed in cool clear vinyl and delivered to your door with a stunning screen printed cover designed by the crew's resident graphic designer Mr. Tibbz. This drop is testament to the drive and dedication these artists have to the culture, and should be celebrated as representing what 'underground' truly means. Limited edition, and only available by contacting Britcore Rawmance Records directly, this is one for the collectors, and one for the fans of heavy hip hop. "If You Are Listening To This...
