Cee Major The Format EP Review

Cee Major The Format EP Review

Ending the year on a complete high we're glad to announce the last review of the year and it couldn't have gone to a more talented head if we wanted! Dropping at midnight is the 5 track EP titled "The Format" by the notorious battle emcee Cee Major, entirely produced by Phocus Beats! Cee blessed us with a promo copy earlier today, so we're flexing our muscles and reviewing it in time for release! So let's get it poppin.

Kicking off the EP is the 1st track titled I'm Home, featuring a short intro in which the beat builds until Cee Major rolls through a drops the first bar! Resulting in instant head bobbin flows and neck snappin delivery, bodying the hook with his own chorus it's clear as day that Cee Major is bringing all the talent he has and more to this release. The Format features production that oozes uplifting vibes and a hunger for more, perfect for the thought provoking and barbaric rhymes of Cee Major! He laces it with utter finesse, reflecting on moments of his past and the current climate of coming up in the gritty cities! Compact with nothing but bars from start to finish.

If you're looking for a face full of Jazz and funky vibes then Bandcamp is your jam! Jumping straight into racy production from Phocus Beats with Cee Major bombarding it with pound for pound rhymes, potent and hard hitting flows and crystal clear presence! O M W F stands for One Man Work Force and you can expect to hear solid production and ruggedness yet again from Cee Major and Phocus Beats! Running through the egotistical and materialistic driven agendas while theirs is fairly simple, to build and create for self, not profit.

Fools In Love is the 5th and final track from the EP, featuring a tranquil and reflective beat from Phocus Beats creating a flawless platform for Cee Majorto bring you up to speed with his hunger and versatility on the mic. As soon as you start listening to the track you know that Cee's going to bring heartfelt and passionate rhymes and that's exactly what happens, real rap!

The Format weighs in at only 5 tracks long but packs as much talent and replay value as a full length album from some of the most relevant artists at the moment. Through out the EP you'll be reassured as to why Cee Major is getting the recognition he deserves, compact with intricate rhymes, lucid flows, food for thought and dare I say it, great vocals! It's safe to say that Cee hasn't even reached his peak or displayed his full potential to the scene yet. If you haven't got yourself a copy of The Format or his previous release Humble Beginnings then start 2015 in the right frame of mind and cop them both!
