Contact Play are one of the best underground groups you will find, combining rappers from Brighton and Cambridge forming the 5 man super group. Their first release is titled 'Champion Fraff' and the gold edition features a total of 29 tracks, that's not a typo either! It really does have 29 tracks. The first track of the album is titled 'Small Talk' which opens up with Jam Baxter's wordplay being released upon your ear drums, this track which features other members of Contact Play is a great example of their raw sound, wordplay and carelessness attitude.
Skipping a few tracks down the line we decided to stop on track number 8 which is titled 'Little Pissed Off', featuring none other than Dirty Dike airing his anger of working for minimum wage. Little Pissed Off is one of our favorite tracks on the album, however track number 9 titled 'Falling Innit' is a close second featuring Jam Baxter on his own expressing his thoughts of love and how he wished he never fallin' innit. I could write about this album for weeks, if you're a hip hop head then you must have this album in your collection, featuring some of the best up and coming rappers who feel like a breath of fresh air, exactly what the scene needs.
