Darkstorm is the master villain from the 1980’s animated television series, ‘The Visionaries’ – leader of the Darkling Lords, hell bent on evil. It’s also the alias of Abdullah Al-wali, head honcho of Bad Taste Records and hip-hop influenced electronic music producer from Sheffield.

His debut album ‘Gateway Shuffle’ dropped in 2009 for free download with guest MC appearances from Bad Tastes own Trellion & Sniff plus many more. He has done a number of free releases since, including ‘Today, I Will…’ – a mellow instrumental beat tape with Diabolik (aka Smoots). With a string of releases already under his belt, he returns on July 29th with brand new album ‘Mind Like Water’, available on limited edition cassette tape & digital download.

‘Mind Like Water’ showcases his versatility via a collection of much more mellow cuts that delve into hip hop & textured electronica territory - the kind of genres that Bad Taste has produced such consistent excellence in over the past few years.
