Daniel Son is a relatively new name to the game having only released one mixtape so far titled One For The Team which we heavily enjoyed and reviewed earlier in the year. We're glad to announce that before 2014 is over, Daniel Son has made his second appearance with his brand new release titled "Wax On Volume 1" which features a total of 5 tracks and is available for free download. We're gonna jump straight into review mode to give you the low down!

Redman is first up on the list with greasy pounding production which gets lit up quickly with a barrage of rhymes from Daniel son, showcasing his lyrical ability and presence on the beat with utter ease! A good start to the Wax On Volume 1 EP! Nunna Dem is a rough, rugged and raw rhyme fest in which Daniel Son gets into aggressive mode, spitting a slew of pound for pound bars in why we don't rate none of you bling bling rappers! A great example of Daniel Son's versatility with the flows, pengame and conviction on a track. Django is a track that brings nothing but hype to the forefront, Dan doesn't hold back in any regards completely murking the erratic nerk jerking beat. I managed to get my hands on the 4th track titled Marooned before it had been finished and it was already a certified banger in my eyes, but the final version just cements my opinion even further. Featuring a laid back, tranquil induced conscious beat in which Daniel Son laces with conscious lyrics pointing out the direction we're all heading into; a dumbed down society lusting after each other, government officials protecting pedos, zero democracy, police state and everything else fairly obvious to anyone who feels empathy. Hands down, my favorite track from the EP, check it out below!

Famous is the 5th and final track from the Wax On Volume 1 EP and features Daniel Son going in on a fuck fame tip, showcasing his love for the art form and not the imaginary bankroll most lust after. Detailing moments on which hip hop helped him through the turbulent times he's faced in the past, a hard hitting barfest to the end the EP on a high!
