Twizzy FarmFoodz Album Review

Twizzy is a name many of you heads should know by now, from his solo releases to his collaborative group The Three Headed Beast, Twizzys been one of the names to watch this year. Having been hard at work finishing his debut solo album FarmFoodz featuring 14 tracks entirely produced by the legendary Farma G from Taskforce, it's hard to not get hyped. We've been luckily enough to land our hands on a promotional copy (released 28th November 2014), so let's see if it's been worth the wait..

Kicking off the album with a short skit welcoming you to FarmFoodz is Fresh Cut, quickly breaking you into the neck snapping rhymes and delivery of Twizzy, he spits an array of rhymes paying homage to his progression within the scene and the respect earned by some of the UK's best. A solid opening track! Here To Speak let's the beat build for a few seconds until Twizzy is let loose to bombard the production with his signature flow, hunger fueled delivery and solid pengame through out!

Twizzy - Here To Speak

Set The Table features the other 2/3rd's of Three Headed Beast with M.A.B. & Jinxsta JX spitting alongside Twizzy, you can expect to hear nothing but that greasy and intense rhyme style that the trio expel with utter ease, THB never disappoint. Thinking Back features a more laid back beat by Farma G, creating a flawless platform for Twizzy to slow his flow and paint vivid imagery with his rhymes. Twizzy gets reflective looking back on moments in his life, reminiscing on those better days - certified dope and is a great example of the many styles Twizzy can project with his rhymes. Oh Well features some funky 8bit production and Farma G on the hooks, going through the motions of a boozey night out, having fun, getting wrecked, getting emotional and then waking up to regrets. One More Chance is a track bringing nothing but progressive and reflective subject matter, showing the laid back and conscious side to Twizzy music, this is potentially one of my favorite songs of his, incredibly encapsulating through out. Feeling The Same features two of the UK's best with verses from Genesis Elijah & Verb T alongside Twizzy, bombarding the beat with powerful rhymes that ring true in the sense of everyword! Twizzy does a great job riding alongside these two veterans without being out shined, each verse compliments the other.

Cold N Lonely brings back that retro production we heard earlier on Oh Well aswell as Farma G featuring on the track, focusing on chasing skirt and the never ending spiral of drama/head games which ensures after you link one. All I See opens with a short skit until the beat drops and Twizzy's let loose upon the eerie beat, tossing and turning through his experiences of the hip hop scene and the snakes which inject negativity into places it's not needed and his relentlessness to keep pushing despite the snake bitches. Once A Dream is another absolute banger featuring Three Headed Beast members M.A.B. & Jinxsta JX riding alongside Twizzy, bodying it with the subject matter of broken dreams and getting into the wrong line of work, being taken over by either an addiction, jail sentence or ending up in hospital! Quality rhymes, solid delivery and a certified Ill trio of emcees! Take Notice is the 11th track on the FarmFoodz release and you can expect to hear Twizzy lace the greasy beat with thought provoking rhymes, bone chilling delivery and subject matter which breaks down the dire society we all shamble around in. Check out the official video below.

Better Things To Do goes in with more food for thought penmanship and conscious vibes, touching of many subjects but general feeling for this track is to do yourself, no matter what it is, just stick to your roots! Another extremely good track, perfect for sparking up the doja and kicking back! Second to last track is Reaper with another appearance from Jinxsta JX who goes back to back with Twizzy, creating greasy vibes throughout building the hype as you get further into the track. Last but not least we land on Burial Day where Twizzy wraps up his debut with pound for pound delivery, great presence and variety of flows, proving to everyone that Twizzy is not ready to lay down and be buried, things are just starting to ramp up.

We hope you've enjoyed our review of Twizzy's debut FarmFoodz album and are already in the process of pre-ordering the release, if not then make sure you grab yourself a copy below from the official DeFactoEntertainment website! The album drops on the 28 November and bares a small price tag of £7.99! Well worth every penny and then some more.
