"From developing the first tracks for the album the idea was to always make a raw album that had no desire to be commercial. We wanted to release a record full of raw on-specific topics, broken down so they are explicit, direct and understandable. We have written an album that stays with the listener; from the bars to the beats. Illinformed has supplied the big, sample based bangers that aren't commercial hits for the club, but more dirty classics for the heads."
All samples were dug out, so don't expect a single, solitary commercial moment on the entire BOTS record, however, arguably the most impressive thing about the Brothers Of The Stone movement is that each and every all-star feature included on the album was a result of different musical trades and hustles; beats for bars, features for beat tapes, you get the idea.
