Since dropping The Big QP in 2012, TPS have been keeping themselves very busy. In 2013 they launched their label Revorg Records, which has been gaining a reputation as a hallmark of quality music. Having put out projects from Efeks, Mystro, The Heisenberg collective and crew member Jack Diggs, the time has come for the crew to release their own highly anticipated album Hot Water Music.

The album features guest vocals from underground favourites Dark Circle, Res and Datkid from Split Prophets, label-mate Efeks, Triple Darkness’ Phoenix Da Icefire, local legend Gee Bag and Bristol’s Sirplus. Each adds their own stamp, but the album maintains the crew’s own sound and style.

Hot Water Music takes its name from Charles Bukowski’s collection of short stories. Most UK Hip Hop heads will know the name from the opening line of Jehst’s classic track Alcoholic Author, but it is his depictions of city life, work and excessive drinking that tie together the themes of the album. Aside from the outro produced by 184, all beats are done in-house by The Strange Neighbour and Jack Diggs.
