Applied Science Booze Blues And Hip-Hop
Applied Science are a South Wales based duo featuring DJ Alkemy and MC Pun-Ra combining their love of music and good vibes then set out to light up some boom bap beats with their lyrical wizardry and their debut album 'Booze, Blues & Hip Hop' is the result. Their debut album features a total of 17 tracks to sooth your hip hop cravings, we've decided to give the album a review so let's get into it.
Malpy's Lament kicks off the album with some soul samples easing you into the beat awaiting MC Pun-Ra to lace it with rugged rhymes and pound for pound flows. Twist O' Pissed starts with a skit and goes into a funky beat with Pun Ra floating alongside the rhythm showcasing his flow, wordplay and pen game, perfect for lighting up and blazing one.

Skipping a few tracks (check it out yourself yo!)we land on number 6 'Triple Threat' featuring Jay.B, the beat is on a pure mellow/tranquil tip. Pun opens with the first verse spraying rhymes about past times and his journey to the top of the pedestal, Jay B follows through with similar subject matter expressing their love for the game. Beatdown is track #9 and starts off with a soul sample and then fades out, using the sample as the hook creating a flawless platform for experimental rhymes. Fuck You Pay Me is track #12 and features a short sample, kicking into an energetic beat oozing boombap vibes, the bars are pound for pound and delivered with flawless flows and Applied Science's signature sound! Warlord is track #15 of the album featuring BeSpoken & Joe Dirt alongside Pun Ra, the trio spit over a hard beat igniting it with criminal minded bars oozing true underground vibes. Ending the album is a short track/scratch outro titled I Speak With My Hands, the bars are banging and the scratching at the end is a perfect finisher for Booze, Blues & Hip Hop.
