Caxton PressBig Buck Star Lyrics

Lyrics
  • Meet this young guy named Buck,
  • A smart boy who had a life but somehow got stuck,
  • He’d triple S, Shit, shower, shave, 3 times a day,
  • Clean as you like till he met the white stick Jay,
  • Things were smooth, he learned to make a profit off hash,
  • Chop, bag, some for himself and the rest cash,
  • That undermined him, he held a steady hand through his art,
  • He could turn a blank piece of paper into pure class,
  • I used to like him, we’d spend our lunchtimes getting blazed,
  • A connoisseur, the first to introduce me to haze,
  • Torn between the white collar and the speed of success,
  • Mixed with a love for drugs, quick money and sex,
  • He was large, could scare the bigger man on the block,
  • Never met his match, he could beat a man on the spot,
  • Not his way but he knew that he could do it if he had to,
  • Leave you with a cracked tooth, then walk off and strap zoots,
  • Buck was a figure you could easily identify,
  • Height would leave you mesmerised, certainly a better guy,
  • Test his patience, he would run in your house,
  • Punch up your mouth, his strength wasn’t nothing to doubt,
  • But when I say he never met his match, that was a lie,
  • He met his maker in the form of a tab,
  • Didn’t quite master the high he took for granted,
  • Fucked with the wrong bitch and now his life was slanted,
  • He would take it out on people till the cows come home,
  • But nothings worse than a mental battle up in your dome,
  • I take my time out to reminisce the man that I knew,
  • Pour a glass every year for the Buck that had grew,
  • It takes me back to days fishing on the side of the Thames,
  • And how I wish I could relive all of those times again,
  • A closed chapter but now comes the worst of it all,
  • I’m still remembering the day that I received the call,
  • We were in Notts, studying for life as a bum,
  • Both learned that education never taught us the sums,
  • Weed and drink was our education, nuff said,
  • Until my presence got replaced by the voice in his head,
  • He went mad, paranoia to the highest degree,
  • There was a time when the bredder tried to fight with me,
  • Barricaded our front door, needed more then a key,
  • Cos’ he thought that someone else would wanna see him deceased,
  • Deep down I knew the drink was talking,
  • Like the twin towers, its hard to see this figure falling,
  • Hit the morning, see him sat with no sleep not yawning,
  • Working out conspiracies the voice is calling,
  • Convinced that everything in his life was a scam,
  • Got tired of giving and never getting it back,
  • His life was fishing, art, bud and sesame snaps,
  • Turned to living fast, drugs, mashed in derelict flats,
  • Cemetery dancing, more taking and less asking,
  • False prospect, pure fakes seem enhancing,
  • There’s less margin, when the profit seems obvious,
  • Until your bodies buried in a coffin or sarcophagus,
  • But he knew that it was them that didn’t understand,
  • Always thought he’d have a chance to live inside his wonderland,
  • The doctor called and he was moved into care,
  • But couldn’t take being told that his mind wasn’t there,
  • So the day came his dad picked him up at his flat,
  • Tried to carry on but something was pulling him back,
  • It was society that let him down, he’d prefer it with his head in clouds,
  • Had to put his guard up not let it down,
  • So he decided he would call it a day,
  • Hang up his boots and this is why I’m calling his name,
  • Big Buck star, shining bright, holding it down,
  • For every step that you took, left a hole in the ground,
  • And every word that you spoke is like a poetry cloud,
  • Just reminiscing all the times we were moping around,
  • Without nothing much to do except smoke and be proud,
  • Put the world to rights, that’s what our flo was about…..
